Privacy Policy

In short

No account is required and there is no sign-in.

Your scans, plans, photos and report branding (logo, company details) are stored only on your device. We have no server that stores this data.

No advertising, tracking (App Tracking) or analytics tools are used.

To manage your subscription, payments are handled by Apple and subscription records by RevenueCat (see below).

Apart from those purchase records, only two things ever reach us: feedback you choose to send, and crash reports (see below). Neither contains your plans or photos.

Camera and scanning

The camera is used only to scan a room, mark corners and add photos to rooms. Scans are processed on your device by Apple's RoomPlan / ARKit frameworks; camera footage is neither stored nor sent, only the measured result (the plan) is saved.

Photos you add to a room are stored inside the plan file on your device; location (GPS) data is not kept. When you pick a photo, the app can access only the photo you choose.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Apple; your card details never reach us.

RevenueCat, Inc. is used to verify your Pro subscription and single-report purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user ID generated by the app, purchase and subscription records, the app version, device type and OS version, and your App Store country. Feedback you send

In Settings > Feedback you can send us a suggestion, request, problem or complaint. Nothing is sent until you tap Send.

We receive the category, your message, the reply e-mail address if you choose to give one, and technical details that help us answer: app version and build, iOS version, device model, app language and whether Pro is active. It is not linked to any account and contains no plans or photos.

The message passes through our website's server and is delivered to our inbox by Resend, Inc., our e-mail provider (https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy). We use it only to answer you and improve the app, and delete it when it is no longer needed. If you gave an e-mail address, we use it only to reply.

Crash reports

If the app crashes or hits a serious error, a crash report is sent to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) so we can find and fix the cause. Details: https://sentry.io/privacy/

A crash report contains the technical error and stack trace, device model, iOS and app version, the name of the screen that was open, and whether Pro is active. It contains no account or user ID, no plans, no photos, and no names or e-mail addresses. The app does not attach your IP address, and our Sentry project is set not to store IP addresses.

On-device AI

Listing text is written by Apple Intelligence's on-device language model. Plan details and the notes you type never leave your device and are not sent to us.

Backups and exports

Backup files, PDFs and other exports are saved where you choose (e.g. iCloud Drive, Files, AirDrop); they are not sent to us. Depending on your device settings, app data may also be included in your iPhone backup (iCloud or computer).

Retention and deletion

You can delete projects in the app; deleted projects stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days and are then deleted permanently. Deleting the app deletes all its data on your device.

Crash reports are deleted automatically by Sentry after their retention period (90 days at most). If you want a feedback message or the anonymous purchase record at RevenueCat deleted, write to us; your subscription history is also kept by Apple.

Your rights

You can contact us to exercise your rights of access, correction and deletion under the GDPR and similar laws. Since almost all of your data stays on your device, requests usually concern only a feedback message you sent or the RevenueCat record.

Children

Truewall is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.

If the app starts processing new data, this page is updated first; the date above shows the latest change.
